Neil Gordon Fowler Neil Gordon Fowler, age 91, passed away at his home in Hidden Valley Lake, CA on July 28, 2024. Neil was born on May 27, 1933 to Helen Alice Peterson and Clair Purvis in Poulsbo, WA. Neil’s Stepfather Warren S. Fowler and siblings were George Purvis and Gayle Callaghan. Neil graduated from Balboa High School in San Francisco and joined the United States Air Force on Jan.16-1953. He served as a B36 flight mechanic for 4 years. Neil met Lucille Faye Greenwade from Middletown, CA. They were married 7-4-1957, settled down in San Jose, CA. Survived by their four children, Kathy(Scott), Kenneth, David(Maureen) and Diana(Kurt), and grandchildren, Emma(Andy), Claire, Karl, Nathanael, Wesley(Kendall), K.Neil, Andrew, Lauren(Derek), Ryan (deceased), then his adorable great grandchildren, Avery, Zoey, Otto, Remi and Eden. He was a successful, hardworking, independent-owner operator of Fowler Trucking, driver and diesel mechanic for over 40 years, hauling sand, gravel and other construction materials throughout the area. Upon retiring, Neil and Faye moved back to Lake County, where they purchased a home and 5 acres near Hidden Valley Lake. They enjoyed being closer to extended family, working on the property and hosting family and friends. Neil enjoyed visits from his larger family; cheering on his favorite teams – the San Francisco Giants, the Forty-Niners, and watching classic episodes of Gunsmoke and other westerns. Thanks Neil for 67 years together, I fell for you the first day we met and have loved you every day since. We gave life to our 4 children, and they blessed us with our grandchildren and great grandchildren. Love & miss you both Neil & Ryan, rest in peace, Faye Celebration of Life for Neil will be held at the United Methodist Church on Sept.21st. From 12 noon till 3pm. Gathering after at the hall, please join us for food and fellowship.
